With almost three decades of experience in Information Technology, I have built a career around designing, supporting, securing, and improving business technology environments across a wide range of industries. Since beginning my IT journey in 1997, I have developed extensive expertise in infrastructure, networking, managed services, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and technical leadership.
My career began with computer hardware, networking, and desktop support before expanding into enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, and managed service environments. Over the years, I have supported organisations ranging from small businesses through to large enterprise and government clients, consistently delivering reliable, secure, and business-focused technology solutions.
Throughout my career, I have specialised in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments where I have progressed through Level 1, Level 2, and other Engineering roles. This experience has provided me with broad exposure to diverse technologies, allowing me to troubleshoot complex issues quickly while managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
My technical expertise spans Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Active Directory, Entra ID, networking, Wi-Fi design, firewall administration, backup and disaster recovery, endpoint management, identity security, and cybersecurity best practices. I have successfully led infrastructure migrations, designed enterprise wireless networks, implemented security improvements, and modernised legacy environments to cloud-first solutions.
Cybersecurity has become a major focus throughout my career. I have implemented Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, vulnerability management, and security hardening strategies that have significantly improved client security posture. I have a passion for helping organisations reduce cyber risk through practical security controls and user education.
During my time with leading Managed Service Providers, I have managed critical infrastructure projects, provided senior technical escalation, mentored junior engineers, and worked closely with clients to develop long-term technology strategies.

Successfully migrating organisations from legacy on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft 365, Azure and Intune.
Designing and managing large-scale wireless network deployments across multiple business locations.
Increasing Microsoft Secure Scores from below 20 to over 90 through security remediation and modern identity management.
Delivering infrastructure upgrades, backup and disaster recovery implementations, and cybersecurity improvements for businesses throughout regional New South Wales.
Supporting enterprise clients using technologies including Fortinet, Sophos, Meraki, Aruba Instant On, Datto, ConnectWise, IT Glue, Veeam, Microsoft 365, Azure, and numerous endpoint security platforms.

Alongside my professional employment, I have operated my own IT business, providing consulting, infrastructure deployments, managed support, custom PC builds, and network engineering services. This experience strengthened my business acumen while reinforcing the importance of delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
I am passionate about continuous learning and regularly invest in expanding my skills through Microsoft certifications, cybersecurity training, home lab development, and real-world testing. My personal lab allows me to stay current with emerging technologies including Microsoft cloud services, email security, firewall design, virtualisation, identity management, and enterprise networking.
Today, I continue to focus on Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, Cloud Technologies, and Cybersecurity. My goal is to contribute my extensive experience to organisations that value innovation, security, and operational excellence while continuing to grow into senior Infrastructure Engineering and Cybersecurity leadership roles.
After nearly 30 years in the industry, I remain as passionate about technology as when I first started. I enjoy solving complex problems, mentoring others, and helping businesses use technology securely and effectively to achieve their goals.
